I saw “Never Let Me Go” a few weeks ago and just had to read the book. What made both so intriguing was the juxtaposition of the serious, disturbing concept — the world that Kazuo Ishiguro’s characters lived in — balanced with the intricate relationship of three close friends, who seemed to grasp little perspective of their situation. For a while, their biggest concerns were who said what to who, and not what awaited them. Of course I don’t want to give any of the story, so that’s all I’ll say on that.
The poster above isn’t the real movie poster, it was created by Daniel Gray after he saw the movie. I find it both haunting and beautiful, a good representation. The second image is a quote from the book.
