Project Flow & Time Frame

Planning + Strategy (week 1)

We meet (on the phone or Skype) and discuss your goals. We’ll look at the shared Pinterest board together and talk about what you like and don’t like. After our meeting, I’ll add more to the board based on your feedback and ask that you contribute to it too.

Logo Presentation (weeks 2-3)

I’ll present 3-4 original logo concepts in black and white. I always begin with black and white for two reasons: so you don’t get distracted or overwhelmed with color choices and because a logo must firstly look great in black and white. We’ll have up to three rounds of revisions to perfect the logo.

Color Palette and Brand Details (week 3)

I’ll present 3-4 color palette options for your brand, as well as additional brand details, such as pattern, illustration and extra design elements.

Brand Style Guide Presentation (week 4)

The brand style guide is your brand’s guidebook. It contains your logo, sub logo, color palette, font recommendations, and any extra design elements all together in one place. During this time, your homework will be to start writing the content for the site.

Web Design Presentation (week 5)

I’ll present 2 concepts for your homepage based off your brand and all of our strategizing about the goals for your site. We’ll have up to three rounds of revisions.

Web Design Alternate Pages (week 6)

After the homepage is approved, I’ll present the design for any alternative layouts needed — like blog, services, contact, portfolio, etc.

Code Site (week 7-8)

After the site design is finalized, I’ll code and program the site into a custom WordPress theme. I only build responsive, mobile-friendly (and Google pleasing) websites — meaning your site will look beautiful on every device looking at it.

Launch! (week 9-10)

You add the content to the programmed website. I’ll be here to hold your hand through the process. I want to empower you to be comfortable with the ins and outs of your site so you’ll be confident updating it in the future, and I promise you won’t need to learn HTML to do it. We’ll both review everything and GO LIVE (that part is really exciting!).
